👧👦 Groups made up entirely or mostly of children (like birthday parties or school friends) will be treated as a Private Kids Workshop, which includes extra safety, attention, and prep.

8. Can each person make something different?

Yes!
Each participant can choose the type of jewelry they’d like to make.

9. Can we all work on the same design for team-building?

While everyone collaborating on a single piece isn’t practical—imagine 5 people watching one person polish—it doesn’t mean you can’t create something meaningful together! We have several fun, symbolic project ideas that are perfect for team-building sessions:

🧩 1. Puzzle Pendants
Each participant crafts a unique pendant that interlocks with the others—just like a real team!

💬 2. Motto Bracelets
Stamp one motivational word or value per bracelet (like “Focus”, “Trust”, “Grit”) that represents your group’s dynamic.

💫 3. Star & Constellation Set
Each person makes a charm that represents a “star,” and together they form a symbolic constellation—great for creative teams!

💍 4. Matching Rings with Secret Messages
Everyone makes a simple silver ring and laser engraves initials, an inside joke, or even a quote spread across all six pieces.

🌿 5. Nature Collection Theme
Each person chooses a different natural symbol (leaf, wave, flame, etc.) and textures or stamps it onto a pendant—showing individual roles in a shared ecosystem.

Let us know the purpose of your group (corporate, creative, friend reunion, etc.), and we’ll tailor the experience to make it memorable and cohesive.

Otherwise we will ask to book another private session with us.

Cancellations less than 24 hours before may result in loss of deposit, especially if prep was already done.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Private Kids Workshops

1. What age is appropriate for kids to join a jewelry workshop at Ddreamer?

We’ve welcomed children as young as 3 years old, but the ideal age is 6+, when they can follow instructions and safely participate in hands-on activities.

Younger children are welcome with close parental supervision and at the discretion of our team.

Every child is different, and we’re happy to guide you on whether your little one is ready.

2. Is the workshop safe for kids?

Yes—safety is our top priority.

All tools (including hammers, files, torches, and polishing machines) are used under direct supervision, and each child is guided step-by-step by our experienced instructors.

We also maintain a low participant-to-instructor ratio to ensure focused attention for every mini silversmith.

3. Do parents or guardians need to stay?

In most cases, yes—especially for younger children or those under 10 years old, a parent or guardian must be present throughout the session for safety and support.

However, for older kids (typically 11 and up) who show confidence and maturity, we may allow them to participate independently—with your consent and our staff’s approval.

That said, many parents end up joining the fun anyway—it’s a lovely bonding experience, and creating side by side is half the magic!

4. What can kids make in the workshop?

Kids can create rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, or charms.

We help guide them toward simple yet beautiful designs that match their abilities and attention span.

You’ll be surprised at what even young kids can achieve with a little help!

5. Is this suitable for birthday parties or group playdates?

Definitely!
We offer Private Kids Workshops for birthday celebrations, school groups, or creative playdates.

It’s a meaningful and fun activity that results in a lasting keepsake—and we’ll even help capture the memories with photos and videos!

6. Do you offer workshops for just one child and a parent?

Yes, we do! A private session can be booked for a parent-child duo, and we’ll tailor the pace and design options to the child’s needs.

This is a popular choice for visiting travelers or families seeking a quiet, focused experience.

7. We’re traveling. Can we join on short notice?

We understand travel plans can change quickly.

While we recommend booking at least 3 days in advance, we’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute bookings for families visiting Ho Chi Minh City. Just send us a message—we’ll try to make it happen!

8. Do expat families book your kids workshops too?

Yes!

Many expat families living in Vietnam come to us for extracurricular enrichment.

It’s not only fun, but educational—kids learn about traditional silversmithing, craftsmanship, and creative problem-solving in a safe and engaging way.

9. How long is the kids workshop? Will they get bored?

The workshop usually runs for 2 hours, depending on the design and child’s attention span.

We structure the session to keep it interactive and stimulating, and most kids stay engaged throughout—especially since they’re working with real tools, live fire, hammers and anvils and making something truly their own.

10. Can my child make a gift for someone?

Absolutely.

Many kids craft jewelry as gifts for parents, grandparents, or even their best friend or crush!

We love seeing the pride in their eyes when they present a piece they made by hand.

11. Are snacks or drinks allowed for kids?

We recommend kids eat beforehand so they’re energized and focused. Drinks are okay with care, but for safety reasons, snacks should be enjoyed outside the work area.

In any case, we will give them a ten minute break (to clean the white patina out of their jewelry piece) along with water and some snacks.

12. What if my child has learning differences or special needs?

We’re a welcoming, patient team and have worked with many children who need a little extra attention.

Please let us know your child’s needs in advance, and we’ll adapt the experience accordingly.

13. Will my child be able to finish a piece of jewelry on their own?

Yes—with our guidance and help!

Kids will shape, texture, solder, file, sand  and polish their piece with hands-on help from our instructors.

They’ll leave the workshop with a finished silver creation they made (almost) entirely themselves!

14. Is this a good activity for creative kids?

It’s perfect. Kids who love drawing, crafting, or hands-on projects thrive here.

Jewelry making taps into both creativity and fine motor skills, helping them develop confidence, patience, and problem-solving in a fun way.

15. Will you take photos or videos of our child during the workshop?

Yes! We love helping families capture the moment.

We’ll take candid photos and videos so you can relive the experience and share it with family or friends back home.

16. Why is the price the same for kids as for adults?

Great question! While it may seem like kids should be charged less, kids’ workshops often require even more guidance, attention, and safety measures than adult sessions.

Each child receives 1-on-1 instruction, uses the same professional tools and high-quality materials, and creates a fully finished sterling silver piece—just like the grown-ups.

We also adjust the pacing and approach to match their energy and experience, ensuring it’s both fun and meaningful.

You’re not just paying for a product—you’re investing in a creative, hands-on learning experience they’ll remember forever. 😊

💍 Jewelry You Can Make

1. What kind of jewelry can I make at Ddreamer Jewelry workshops?

You can create silver rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, bangles, and anklets.

Each piece starts from raw silver, and you’ll learn the traditional Vietnamese techniques of shaping, soldering, filing, texturing, and polishing—guided every step of the way by our professional instructors.

The end result? A beautiful, wearable piece you made yourself!

2. Do I need any experience to make jewelry?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for complete beginners, and many guests have never held a jewelry tool before walking through our door.

We’ll make sure you’re confident, safe, and proud of what you create—whether you’re artistic, curious, or just trying something new.

3. How long does it take to make a piece of jewelry?

Most workshops take around 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on what you’re making.

Rings are the quickest, while more complex pieces like bangles or stone settings may take longer. Private workshops offer more time flexibility if you’re planning something ambitious.

4. Can I bring my own design or idea?

In public workshops, we only offer a selection of curated beginner-friendly designs, due to time and attention limits in a shared setting.

If you’d like to create your own design, this is only possible in a private workshop. Please send us your ideas in advance so we can confirm feasibility and adjust for time, tools, and silver use. We’re happy to help adapt your vision to a workshop-friendly version!

5. Can I make wedding bands, promise rings, or anniversary rings?

Absolutely!

Many couples come in to create meaningful rings together—whether for an engagement, anniversary, or just to celebrate love.

We’ll help guide you toward elegant designs, and even offer engraving options. For more intricate or custom bands, we recommend private couple workshops for extra attention and flexibility.

6. Can I make a ring for someone else?

Yes—but if they’re not attending, you’ll need to know their ring size. We can guide you on how to measure a ring at home or use our online ring sizing chart. You can also make an open ring design so it’s adjustable and easier to fit later on.

7. Can I engrave my jewelry?

Yes! All guests can hand-stamp their piece with initials, symbols, icons, or even dates. If you’d like something more detailed, we offer laser engraving (names, fingerprints, drawings, etc.). For custom laser files or intricate designs, please let us know in advance—we’ll need to prep or convert your idea for the machine.

8. What materials do we use?

We work with high-purity 940 sterling silver, which is slightly softer than 925 and ideal for handcrafting.

It’s easy to solder, shape, and polish—and has a beautiful shine. We also offer optional gold plating (yellow, white or rose) as an upgrade but will incur an extra 250,000 vnd fee and will take us a couple of days to make it happen.

9. Can I add gemstones to my piece?

Yes—but with conditions.

In public workshops, we offer the option to add a small cubic zirconia for a simple accent (extra fee of 150,000 vnd applies).

For real gemstones or custom stone settings (bezel, prong, or inset) you bring to set, you’ll need to book a private workshop, as these techniques require more time, tools, patience and teaching methodologies.

10. Can I reuse or redesign old jewelry?

This is part of our bespoke custom jewelry services, not our regular workshops.

We only work with sterling silver and gold, and only in private settings.

We’re not able to melt or remake costume or non-precious jewelry in workshops.

11. Can I create more than one piece in a session?

Each session is designed for you to make one jewelry piece. We want to ensure quality and focus.

If you’d like to make two pieces, please talk to us in advance—we’ll let you know what’s possible and whether an extended or second session is better.

12. Do all designs apply to both public and private workshops?

No—public workshops only include a selection of simple ring designs that are suitable for the group format and time limit. For earrings, pendants, or more complex rings, we recommend booking a private session for full freedom and support.

13. Can I choose from different textures and finishes?

Yes! We offer a wide variety of textures and finishes: hammered, matte, brushed, mirror-polish, frosted, and way more (14+) .

You’ll get to test textures before choosing how to finish your piece—and yes, you can combine them!

14. What’s the difference between hand-stamping and laser engraving?

Hand-stamping is done manually using metal stamps (letters, symbols, or dates)—it’s included in your workshop fee.

Laser engraving uses a high-precision machine to engrave anything from handwriting to fingerprints to drawings. Laser services are an upgrade and require some prep time.

15. Can I make matching sets—like a ring and a pendant?

We love this idea, but in one session, we recommend sticking to just one piece to finish it properly.

If you’d like to make a full set, let us know!
We can arrange a multi-session package or help you create the perfect matching design over time.

If we’re a bit slow to respond, it’s usually because we’re:

In the middle of a workshop, giving full attention to our current guests (just like we will with you!)

Experiencing a technical hiccup (we’re human, and sometimes phones/wifi in Vietnam don’t cooperate!)

Double-checking our schedule to see how we can best fit your request.

Feel free to gently follow up if you haven’t heard back within a day—we appreciate your patience! 🫶

5. What happens after I book?

Once you’ve selected a date, the number of people attending, a time and sent your payment, we’ll confirm everything by message.

We’ll also share our Google Pin location for easy Grab Rides, with any links to help you choose your designs and provide any prep tips. Then all you need to do is show up in time ready to create!

6. Can I book for someone else as a gift?

Yes!

You can reserve a spot for a friend, partner, or family member. Just let us know their name, and we’ll send the booking info to you or directly to them.

We also offer gift workshop vouchers, valid for 1 month from purchase—great for birthdays, anniversaries, or special surprises.

7. Do I have to pay in advance to secure my spot?

Yes.
To confirm your booking, we require the payment in  advance in full of the workshop fee (via bank transfer, Wise, or cash at our studio). This helps us prep your session and avoid last-minute no-shows.

We can’t hold a spot until the payment is received—thank you for understanding!

8. Can I walk in without a booking?

While we welcome spontaneous interest, most of our workshops fill up quickly, especially on weekends. Walk-ins are very rarely available, unless someone cancels last minute.

If you’re hoping for a same-day session, it will be considered an Express Booking, which has a higher fee and depends entirely on our availability.

In these cases, please contact us at least 1 hour in advance so we can see if we have the tools, instructors, and space ready for you.

To avoid disappointment, we highly recommend booking a few days in advance whenever possible—even just 1–2 days helps us prepare properly and make sure your experience is amazing. 😊

9. What are your public workshop hours?

Public Group workshops (shared with other guests) are held only on weekends:
🕙 Saturday’s: 10am–12pm & 1pm–3pm
🕙 Sunday’s: 10am–12pm

⚠️ Please note:

These sessions only run when at least 3 people have confirmed and paid. If there are fewer sign-ups, we may offer to reschedule or suggest a private session.

10. Can I choose my own date and time?

For Private workshops, yes!

You can choose any available time slot on weekdays or weekends. We’ll do our best to accommodate your ideal schedule, and may offer alternative options if we’re fully booked.

11. What is the difference between private and public sessions in terms of booking?

Public Group sessions are held at fixed times, with a group of guests. These are mainly for making simple rings.

Private sessions are flexible in timing, more personal, and allow for a wider range of jewelry types. You can book for just yourself, as a couple, or a group. Please check our pricelist for more information of the fees.

The sooner you book, the better we can tailor it for you!

12. Can I book a workshop for my whole family or a group of friends?

Yes!

We love family and friend groups. We offer Private Group Workshops for families (with kids or adults), couples, and groups up to 6 people.

If your group is larger than 4, let us know—we can sometimes offer a small group discount.

13. Can I change my booking after confirming?

We allow one change per booking (time or date), but we kindly ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice.

Multiple changes or very late notices may forfeit your deposit. We prepare tools and materials in advance, and last-minute changes affect our small team and other guests.

14. Do you accept bookings far in advance—like months ahead?

We prefer bookings within a few weeks of your visit, especially for travelers, as schedules often shift.

But if you’d like to reserve something a month out, that’s okay—just stay in touch closer to the date to confirm.

15. What if I’m not sure what jewelry I want to make yet?

That’s totally fine! Once your session is confirmed, we’ll send you links to our “Jewelry You Can Make” inspiration pages, where you can browse and choose ahead of time.

If you’re still unsure, we can help you decide on the day!
