Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is an alloy of silver and typically contains 92.5% of silver and 7.5% of other metals.

Pure silver is very soft and malleable, this is why it is mixed with 7.5% of other metals. This ensures the jewelry will be hold it’s shape and be more durable over time.

At Ddreamer Jewelry, we mix our own silver ingredient at the studio to guarantee the quality of our own jewelry.

Silver Care Guide

– Sterling Silver is safe to wear in water.
– Sterling silver is prone to tarnish and dull over time so it is important to use a silver polish cloth to wipe and clean your jewelry regularly.
– Keep your sterling silver away from skincare, detergents and perfumes to avoid erosion.
– We recommend removing your jewelry when doing physical exercise and entering salt or chlorinated water.
– Store your jewelry in closed plastic zip bag to avoid moisture and metal on metal rubbing.

For a deep cleanse, use gentle toothpaste, or mix baking soda and water together and wrap your jewelry in aluminum foil for 5-10mins before gently wiping it away, rinsing with water and patting it dry.

Materials

Moissanite

Moissanite was first discovered by Henri Moissan, a French scientist, in a crater that had fallen off a meteor.

Natural Moissanite is extremely rare which makes it virtually impossible to be made into jewelry.

All Moissanite stones are now lab created and are one of the most scintillating gemstones available on the market. Moissanite stones are still incredibly sturdy and have a Mohs Scale of Hardness score of 9.25
